Week 8- Review Post

Throughout this semester, we have taken in many aspects to produce our own product, and mine is the Iwatch.  We have figured out ways that this product will use excel, digital media, RFID, twitter, bits bytes, and operating systems.  By doing all of this, we have made it much more possible to create our own product and develop it in many ways.  According to the comments that I have received on my blog, I realized that this product would be very helpful for people and it would definitely be an asset.

This Iwatch will have an Ipod, digital watch, weather, and other applications that would make it easier for consumers to use.  This iwatch is extrememly easy because it can hold all different types of applications on your wrist.  Applications can be downloaded through the App Store that would be set up to the computer.  This product would be a great addition to all of the new technology that has been invented recently.  Once it comes out, many people will start to buy this product and eventually it will be the next best thing.

For my 3 comments on blogs I commented on Amanda Katlowitz, Melissa Post, and Samantha Hornungs blogs.

Blog Review Post

Since this weeks blog is supposed to be a review of a blog on the Internet, I decided to google about the Iwatch. I never even thought that this idea was thought of before, but apparentlyni was wrong. I found a blog that talks only about the upcoming invention of the Iwatch. The main difference about this iwatch and mine is that this iwatch has many more parts to it. My iwatch is mainly a watch and an iPod in one, but this iwatch is a Bluetooth phone, compass, touch screen watch.
There were many similar ideas that I had that this blog has also. Besides the variety of colors that this watch would come in, It would have Bout the same memory size and support (2-4 GB). Also, just like this blog, the iwatch would have music, a camera, games, and settings. This blogger would suggest that the iwatch should also have a phonebook, messages, call center, file exporter, organizer, video recorder and player, Internet and many other different applications. As the first iwatch would be created, I didn't think that it would have all of these different applications because I would like to see how well it would sell first as just a iPod and a watch and then eventually make it into more.

Week 6- Operating Systems and Storage

Identity theft is a very serious problem.  Many people do not realize that when they delete something off their computer and put it in their trash, it is easily accessible to still recover.  If people have documents stating their social security number on their cell phones or on their computers, anyone can get them and steal their identity.  For my product, the Iwatch, the stores selling would never take any of this information from the customer.  Not only is it not necessary for us to obtain this information from the customer, but if something were to happen to our system (i.e. our system were to get hacked), all of the information of the customers would be seen.  Also, since I know that whatever information was on the computer could easily be obtained (even if deleted), my company would never have anything on our computers that is important not to be seen.  My company will take identity theft very seriously and we know exactly what information that should be in our systems of our customers, and what information should not.

Operating systems manage hardware and software resources including the processor, memory allocation, disk space, all input and output devices.  It provides a way for software applications to work with the hardware without having to know the details.  Operating systems are very important in a company because in order for the computer systems to work, everything has to be able to work together.  For my product, my company would be using a pre-emptive multi-tasking strategy.  This means that the system the guarantees each process some operating time.  This is important in a company because it is necessary that everything works perfectly and smoothly, and this strategy is the most helpful.  My company needs to run smoothly in order to save all of the information that is needed from my customers because of warranty.  My operating system will always be running correctly and this will really help out my company in the long run.
